Sources for matting and framing

Matting and Framing: Because there are as many options as there are tastes, I do not provide matting or framing services unless specifically requested and agreed upon. Below is a brief list of resources for matting and framing your new artwork.

A few tips: 1) Shop around, 2) Consider both wood and metal frames, 3) Use glass instead of plexi and 4) Check out double-matting which can be very attractive - although a bit pricier. Have fun!

Is Original Work Available?

All the monotypes displayed here are available as a Giclee, a fine art reproduction employing the Giclee process. However, if you are interested in purchasing an original piece of work, please contact me. I will be glad to send you a list of original new work.

New work is generated each year in a formal printmaking setting that usually includes supervision by a master printmaker.

I have worked with Michael Costello at Hand Graphics Studio in Santa Fe, NM, Livia Stein in her printmaking studio in Berkeley, CA, and numerous printmaking teachers at Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, including: Joseph Zirker, Linda Goodman, and Hiroki Minoue.

In 2011 had the opportunity to work for one month at Zea Mays Printmaking Studio in Florence, MA, under the supervision of an exceptionally talented printmaker, teacher, and director: Liz Chalfin.
